Project SHORE Presents Research at Chilecon: Modeling Port Crane Vibrations
A team from Project SHORE presented a study at the recently held Chilecon conference. The research focused on the structural modeling of port cranes (RTG Cranes) and the role the electrical system plays in vibration excitation.

The research, titled «Modelling Of Structural Vibrations Excitation On RTG Cranes,» was conducted by:

– Nelson Cáceres (Presenter)
– Constanza Ahumada
– Doris Sáez

This study addresses the interaction between the physical structure of the RTG crane and its internal electrical components. The analysis examines how the electrical system contributes to the generation of vibrations within the structure. The findings were shared with the scientific and technical community at Chilecon.

Project supported by the National Agency for Research and Development of Chile (ANID).
