Fondecyt Regular 2026 Grants: Successful Applications by Roberto Cárdenas and Doris Saéz

The SHORE Project (ATE230035) announces that its Director, Roberto Cárdenas, and Principal Investigator, Doris Saéz, have been awarded highly competitive Fondecyt Regular 2026 grants. This year’s national funding cycle was highly selective; of the 2,535 proposals evaluated, 680 were successful, yielding an acceptance rate of 26.8%.

Awarded Research Projects:

• Project Title: «Advanced Predictive Control Strategies for CHB-Multilevel Converters Based on Triple-Active Bridges»
  Lead Researcher: Roberto Cárdenas (Director, SHORE Project)
  Research Team: The project will be undertaken in collaboration with co-investigators Luca Tarisciotti (Academic at Universidad Andrés Bello and Principal Investigator of the Ring Project) and Felix Rojas (Academic at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile).
• Project Title: «AI-Based Control Strategies for Water-Energy-Food microgrids in rural communities»
  Lead Researcher: Doris Saéz (Principal Investigator, SHORE Project)
  Research Team: The project will feature the collaboration of co-investigators Alex Navas (Academic at Universidad de Chile), Constanza Ahumada (Academic at Universidad de Chile and Alternate Director of the Anillo Project), Oscar Cartagena (Researcher at Universidad de Chile), and Linda Daniele (Academic at Universidad de Chile).
