Shore at AIDIS seminar
We are proud to highlight Francisca Medel Navarrete, a final-year Chemical Engineering student at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso (PUCV), who is currently developing her undergraduate thesis within the framework of our project.
As part of her professional development and early engagement with the real-world challenges of the water and energy sectors, Francisca recently attended the seminar «Current Status and Challenges for Basin-Scale Desalination» organised by AIDIS Chile on May 15th.
The event gathered representatives from academia, industry, and specialised organisations to address the technical, regulatory, and strategic dimensions of desalination in Chile.
Student participation in these forums is vital, as it strengthens their professional growth by exposing them to real-world implementation experiences, national challenges, and emerging development opportunities in strategic areas of water sustainability.
At the SHORE Ring Project, we remain committed to fostering learning and networking spaces that help train the next generation of professionals dedicated to innovation and sustainable development.
Project supported by the National Agency for Research and Development of Chile (ANID).
