Participation in PEDG Conference

Researchers from the SHORE Project (ANID/ATE230035) participated in the PEDG Conference. Principal investigators Constanza Ahumada and Luca Tarisciotti, PhD candidates Benjamin Moreno and Patricio Pizarro, and MSc students Constanza Leiva and Ariel Molina presented their latest research contributions on seaport electrification.
In addition to presenting their work, Luca Tarisciotti and Constanza Ahumada chaired technical sessions. At the same time, Project Director Roberto Cárdenas served as a panellist in discussions addressing current challenges and future developments in the field. These activities enhanced the project’s international visibility and fostered engagement with researchers, industry representatives, and other key stakeholders worldwide.

Also, Benjamin Moreno, Patricio Pizarro and Constanza Leiva got awarded student grants and the work entitled «Long-Horizon Model Predictive Control Applied to Hexverter Drive», whose authors are MSc student Constanza Leiva-Mateluna, Prof. Roberto Cárdenas, Dr Yeiner Arias-Esquivel, Dr Andrés Mora, and PhD candidate Patricio Pizarro-Jiménez, was recognised as the second-best paper of the conference.
