Research stay at the University of Manchester

Luis Jiménez Verdugo is currently undertaking a research stay at The University of Manchester, an integral part of his doctoral programme in collaboration with the Universidad de Chile.

During this period, his work has concentrated on reviewing the state-of-the-art journal papers concerning Energy Management Systems for seaport microgrids. The primary objective involves studying and synthesizing different methodologies to produce a comprehensive review journal article.This research is directly advancing the design of his research proposal focused on intelligent energy management solutions within seaport microgrids.

The visit to the University of Manchester campus has offered him a valuable opportunity to immerse himself in a distinct academic culture and international environment. This experience serves as essential preparation for the final two years of his PhD programme.
